Teaching AP Statistics and Pre-Calculus.

Provide a detailed syllabus for class schedules throughout the school year with lessons based on testing standards and school missions.

Teaching students according to their individual educational needs, including the appropriate classroom setting and providing feedback on homework carried out by students.

Assisting with duties assigned by the Field of Mathematics and Sciences Study Coordinator.

Assessing, recording, and reporting on the attendance, academic progress, classroom behavior and keeping electronic records as required.

Maintaining discipline according to school rules, and to encourage good practice of punctuality, behavior, standards of homework assignment and collaborative learning as well as self-learning skills.

Marking and grading students work and give timely verbal/written feedback.

Engaging students in active class instructions or discussions.

Work with Department of College Counseling and other departments to integrate college-related skills (i.e. personal statement writing, interviewing, etc.) and testing (TOFEL, SAT, etc.) into school curricula.

Writing school recommendation letters for senior classes.

Serve as an advisor to a small group of students to mentor them through school life and activities.

Attend all meetings and events held in school for subject teachers and student activities.

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) from an accredited college/university in Mathematics, Statistics or related subjects.

Background in Mathematics or Statistics is preferred, with 2+ years’ experience in teaching.

Ease and experience with computers, Internet, emails, and proficient typing abilities in English.

Knowledge of relevant applications including MS Office, MS Excel, and any teaching platform such as SchoolPal.

Salary is starting from 20,000 RMB after tax and negotiable based on qualifications and experiences.
